Get Rid Of Fat Without Surgery

LinkGrand.com

Dr. Vicki Belo, a.k.a. "the Fat Buster" in social circles, has a brand-new weapon in her fight against fat. Brought over all the way from Switzerland, this new technology has the ability to emit sound waves that resonate perfectly with fat cells, causing them to alternately compress and expand until they implode and then burst. The fat is then excreted by the body as waste over the next few days, with no suction required.

Dr. Belo, who is known best for her expertise in liposuction, has for years been looking for an effective, non-surgical alternative to remove fat. This new procedure, called the BeloShape, is the perfect solution to banish those unwanted bulges instantly, without surgery!

Tintin Bersola, who has had a difficult time losing her post-pregnancy bulges since she gave birth to Antonia, swears to the amazing effects of BeloShape. "Three years after giving birth, I got my old figure back! Right after my first BeloShape session, my waist area became more shapely -- even better than when I was in high school! I'm so happy now because for the first time in my life, I am able to wear a bikini. It's amazing that I even have a better body now than before. And BeloShape is just the perfect treatment for women like me who are not yet ready for invasive procedures."

Actress Bea Alonzo, an endorser for BeloShape, underwent procedure and loved it. In only one session done to her abdominal area, she lost four inches. "I'm really happy I tried it. When Dr. Vicki told me it's non-surgical, I was immediately convinced. And four inches in one session -- it was unbelievable. But it sure worked! They also did BeloShape on my arms and now I'm also having my thighs done. And another thing I like about BeloShape is that it's painless, and it didn't interfere with my schedule at all. I was up and about right after the session."

The procedure takes about three hours, and it may be performed on practically any part of your body. Since BeloShape is non-surgical, there is no downtime and patients may go back to work immediately. The patient has to wear a girdle after the procedure, and will experience minor bruising for the first week. Final results become obvious after three weeks. Most patients undergo two to three sessions, spaced three weeks apart.

The BeloShape treatment has been designed to help average to overweight men and women achieve an improved body contour -- without surgery, and without downtime. Only Belo Medical Group has this technology in the Philippines and BeloShape is exclusively available at their clinic at Medical Plaza Makati. Contact Belo Medical Group at 844-2939.

We revisit the Judy Ann - Ryan romance as the countdown to the year's most-awaited wedding begins.

Things have a strange way of happening when you least expect them to. When Judy Ann Santos met Ryan Agoncillo, she wasn't prepared to fall in love. When they were paired up in Krystala, she wasn't even that excited. She was not expecting anything from the show, much less to find someone, or fall in love. Judy Ann wasn't even that hot on the idea of putting on a superhero costume at her age. "Sabi ko nga, imagine, 26 years old na ako noon, tapos mag-su-superhero pa ako!" she laughs, recalling how she felt when the idea was pitched to her. "At saka sobrang haggard ako n'on, kasi sabay mag-e-ending ang Basta't Kasama Kita (her series opposite Robin Padilla) sa pilot ng Krystala." She was shuttling from one set in Tanay, Rizal to the other, which was in Zambales, and didn't have time for romance.

Although Ryan was not her type -- "Inglisero kasi; eh ayoko ng inglisero" -- Judy Ann became intrigued by his demeanor and the fact that during the taping of Krystala, this upper-class, Catholic school-educated boy would disappear from the set, only to be found off to one corner, enjoying isaw. After a few taping days, she realized he was not what he seemed. Rather, he was "jologs but cool". In Judy Ann's book, that was a virtual stamp of approval.

But Ryan had a girlfriend. Still, Judy Ann kept up the friendship. When Ryan and his girlfriend broke up, the two had the opportunity to take their friendship to the next level. True enough, it began to deepen. Through subsequent projects--like a three-hour interview for Cinema One where he was the interviewer and she, the willing subject--Judy Ann and Ryan got to know each other and fell in love.

Being with Ryan taught her one valuable lesson. "To trust...to trust and to show everything...to be very honest. Kasi I must admit, di ako masyadong honest. Lahat tayo, one way or another, may iniiwan pa ring privacy for ourselves. But I realized that when you finally decide to give your life to someone, you have to be very honest, masakit man o hindi. Ibigay mo na agad. That's how you grow as a couple and individual."

Over the years, their relationship would be tested in the most severe ways. But through it all--the quarrel with Piolo and Direk Joyce, the BIR issue, the Meralco issue and the stress of getting Ploning to the Oscars (and being there for her when it didn't make it)--Ryan stuck by her. Last June, after three years of being a couple, he proposed. And now, here they are, on the brink of what is probably the most anticipated showbiz wedding of the year.

The wedding will be typically Judy Ann Santos. It won't be a big celebrity event. She wants everything simple--or a better way of putting it might be to use the phrase 'non-traditional'--from the gown to the little touches that make every wedding special to the woman who will be at the center of it.

Oh, but you can see her excitement. Her eyes shine whenever we ask questions about the wedding. Still, that doesn't stop her from seeing the humor in it. It must be her way of dealing with pre-wedding jitters. "Masakit pala sa ulo [ang preparations]!" she laughs.

Is planning a wedding expensive? "I guess," comes the quick reply.

Do you have any fears?

"None."

Concerns about in-laws?

"Wala."

Her own family and friends? "Ngayon lang nila ako nakita na ganito kasaya," says Judy Ann, her mood suddenly reflective.

Definitely, they intend to start a family after the wedding. Judy Ann hopes it will be within a year of getting married, and that their first child will be a boy. "Actually, kung kailan ibigay, okay lang. Basta, gusto ko ng anak para din may kalaro si Yohan."

How soon do they intend to have another child? Turns out, she wouldn't want to wait that long. "Kapag naka-recover na ako at naibalik ko na ang katawan ko. Pero depende sa experience sa una! Kapag masakit, baka isa na lang!" she laughs.

Rewarding Herself

Judy Ann Santos is something of a perfectionist who is never satisfied with what she does. She
remembers feeling this way the first time she saw herself on TV. "Tulala ako. Parang hindi ako bumilib sa ginawa ko. Hanggang ngayon naman, ganoon pa rin ako sa sarili ko. Whatever movies I make, whatever soaps I do, mapanood ko man siya at sabihin ng mga tao, 'Okay, maganda, congratulations, naiyak ako', hindi ko napi-please ang sarili ko. Hindi ako nagagalingan."

For someone who has done top-rating soaps like Sa Puso Ko, Iingatan Ka (with Piolo Pascual) and Basta't Kasama Kita (with Robin Padilla), the idea that she's never satisfied with her work is something that is hard to connect with who Judy Ann is. But this is the same girl who likes to reward herself for her efforts. The concept of rewarding herself is something that goes back to her childhood, when she first discovered she had an entrepreneurial streak. She was about eight or nine years old. Judy Ann would make little sweet treats like pulboron and yema, and sell them to her Mommy Carol's friends. She would also sell little packets of gawgaw (starch) from the family's supermarket stocks for P1 each to her friends. At the end of all that, she'd buy her mother something--usually her favorite cigarettes--but she'd always reserve something for herself. "May reward lang ako na lagi sa akin, every Friday, meron akong Bubblers. Bubblers ang pangalan ng softdrink na cola na may root beer. Uupo ako sa puno--may puno ng bayabas sa tabi [ng bahay] namin na ume-extend sa bubong--tapos dun lang ako, at iinom ako ng Bubblers. Reward ko 'yon kasi nagta-trabaho na ako noon."

When she started working for real, she was able to afford things more expensive than a bottle of cola. But the first real reward that she bought herself was a pair of shoes after she got kicked in the face filming a TV commercial for a certain brand of toothpaste. Her co-stars were Isabel Granada and Chuckie Dreyfus. The idea was that they were playing luksong-tinik; Judy Ann was one of the children who would hold up their hands for Isabel and Chuckie to jump over. Judy Ann laughs as she recalls the moment: "Bilang talent na bata, siyempre bawal gumalaw kasi nag-a-adjust ng camera. Tapos sila (Isabel and Chuckie) practice ng practice, talon ng talon, hanggang sa pag-roll namin, bigla akong natadyakan sa face, at nakuha ng camera. Swak na swak, may tatak ako ng Mighty Kid [sa mukha]!"

When she got paid for the commercial, she handed Ate Binay, her yaya, the money and asked only for one thing: a pair of Mighty Kid shoes. "At least meron akong brand na natadyakan ako sa mukha. Meron akong pag-aari. 'Yun ang unang gift ko sa sarili ko, Mighty Kid."

But it was buying her Road Trek van that gave Judy Ann the ultimate high. It wasn't her first vehicle; her first was a Blue Mazda van that her manager Alfie Lorenzo bought and gave to her. But the Road Trek--which Judy Ann later sold--was her dream car. It was a sign that she had become a success and a confirmation that show business had stopped being a job; it had become her life. To think, says Judy Ann, she once thought that she would quit the business and join her Mommy Carol in Canada when the latter went abroad to work. "Nung bata naman ako, hindi ko naman iniisip na aabot ako ng ganito katagal. Ang iniisip ko kasi, magiging immigrant ako, na kung hindi mag-click ang Mara Clara, pupunta na lang ako sa Canada, samahan ko na lang si Mommy. Eh after ng Mara Clara, dere-derecho na ang trabaho.

"Nalulula ako, na-o-overwhelm," confesses the actress when asked for her take on her stardom. She became famous at age 10 and has carefully nurtured that fame for two decades now. Ironically, Judai does not seem to fully grasp the scope of her accomplishments. "Nung bata ako, gusto ko lang talaga makita 'yung sarili ko sa TV," she shares. "Never naman pumasok sa isip ko na tatagal ako sa business na ito. Alam ko namang hindi college degree ang pag-aartista."

That dream brought her forward, but it is her passion for acting that has sustained her. "At 'yun pa rin siguro ang reason kung bakit nandito pa rin ako hanggang ngayon," she explains.

Galactic Plane

the plane which passes through the centre of the MILKY WAY, as far as that can be determined.

Taken from Dictionary of Science

________

The plane in which the disk of the Milky Way Galaxy lies. By definition, one direction perpendicular to this plane is called above or north, and the opposite direction, also perpendicular to the galactic plane, is called below or south. From Earth, due galactic north is marked by the north galactic pole, which lies in Coma Berenices, near the bright star Arcturus, and due galactic south is marked by the south galactic pole, which lies in Sculptor.

Dark Nebulae

clouds of thick gas and dust common throughout the MILKY WAY and other GALAXIES.

Taken from Dictionary of Science

______________

A dark nebula is a type of interstellar cloud that is so dense that it obscures the light from the background emission or reflection nebula (e.g., the Horsehead Nebula) or that it blocks out background stars (e.g., the Coalsack Nebula). The extinction of the light is caused by interstellar dust grains located in the coldest, densest parts of larger molecular clouds. Clusters and large complexes of dark nebulae are associated with Giant Molecular Clouds. Isolated small dark nebulae are called Bok globules. Like other interstellar dust/material, things it obscures are only visible using radio waves in radio astronomy.

Dark clouds appear so because of submicrometre-sized dust particles, coated with frozen carbon monoxide and nitrogen, which effectively block the passage of light at visible wavelengths. Also present are molecular hydrogen, atomic helium, C18O, CS, NH3 (ammonia), H2CO (formaldehyde), c-C3H2 (cyclopropenylidene) and a molecular ion N2H+ (diazenylium), all of which are relatively transparent. These clouds are the spawning grounds of stars and planets, and understanding their development is essential to understanding star formation.

The form of such dark clouds is very irregular: they have no clearly defined outer boundaries and sometimes take on convoluted serpentine shapes. The largest dark nebulae are visible to the naked eye, appearing as dark patches against the brighter background of the Milky Way.

In the inner regions of dark nebulae important events take place, such as the formation of stars and masers.

By The Way: WORRY, WORRY, DON'T WORRY

D
o you spend a lot of your time worrying about things you can't control? Do you want to stop? Read on!

By Dexter H. Faulkner

In Guatemala there is a legend about dolls that can solve your problems.

The idea is that you tell the dolls your troubles each night before you go to sleep. While you're asleep the dolls solve your problems for you.

Wouldn't that be great! Just hand your troubles over to a doll and let it take care of everything. It would be a stress-free existence.

Unfortunately, of course, it doesn't work.

What does worrying do?

Facing a fate worse than death? Don't despair. You can learn to stop worrying.

Think of all the problems that worrying has solved for you. It's probably a small list. Worry does little more than cause you to lose sleep at night. (It can even cause health problems, such as headaches and ulcers.)

Losing sleep over a problem or event that you dread only makes you tired and cranky in the morning. Worry doesn't accomplish anything productive.

Many chronic worriers confuse worry with action. But there is no correlation between the two.

For some, worrying is a part of everdyday life. For example, when you get called into your principal's or boss' office, do you think you're going to be chewed out or fired? We live in a stressful age and it is easy to imagine the worst and fret over the unexpected.

But worrying about problems or things that could possibly go wrong is a bad habit. Like any bad habit, there are things that you can do to break it. You can stop worrying, and here's how to start:

The first step to overcoming the habit of worrying is to determine that you want to do something about it. This decision takes place in your mind and starts with a positive attitude.

Having a positive attitude not only makes you feel better, it helps relieve stress. A positive attitude also helps you solve problems better.

Positive feelings give you access to a wider range of information and ideas; negative emotions tend to narrow your focus. A positive attitude helps you realize your seemingly unsolvable problem may not really be as bad as it seemed.

When the principal, coach or boss calls you into the office, don't say to yourself, "I'm gonna get it." Instead, think of all the positive things that could happen, such as being moved to a better position on the team or getting a raise. Instead of worrying about everything that could go wrong, stop and think of all the things that could possibly go right.

And map out solutions or ways to avoid things you think could go wrong. Planning how to overcome problems is not the same thing as worrying. Planning is taking action -- worrying is doing nothing.

Better than a doll

We have access to someone who is much more qualified to handle our problems than the dolls we were talking about. God asks us not to worry or fret. He even wants our problems. He only asks that we trust him to handle them according to his will.

King David wrote many, many years ago: "Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him.... [Then] He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday" (Psalm 37:5, New King James Version throughout).

Give your problems to God. Put them in his hands. Let God look after you completely. That is what David is saying to us.

I once read that right in the middle of the African jungle, plagued by the poisonous snakes and insects, gnawed by hunger, harassed by wild beasts and sickened by the slave trade - even dying on his feet - David Livingstone repeated that verse five times a day. In that passage he found strength to go on, knowing that God would keep his promise.

King David believed that promise throughout his life. He said: "For You are my hope, O Lord God; You are my trust from my youth" (Psalm 71:5). This reminds us that we are all poor and needy creatures - young or old. Truly, our only hope is in the power of God.

The Great God offers to carry our burdens. We simply need to be obeying his laws and ask for his help. It isn't always easy to leave your problems in the hands of someone else, but that is what we are instructed in the Bible to do.

God is willing to take on our problems and handle them if we go to him in prayer and ask him to. And then we have to stop worrying about them and let him take care of things in his own time and way - which is the right time and the right way.

The answer or solution to your problem may not come in the way you expect, or even want. It will be in your best interest, though, and it will work out the best in the long run.

So, work on a more positive attitude. Give your worries to God, because that's what he wants. And he promises to help!
